apple event There were many rumors circulating on the internet about today's Apple education event, but which one of these is true? Well it looks like Bloomberg knows a little bit more than most of us about this event and it has released a report. It says that Apple is going to release a set of tools that will "make it easier to publish interactive textbooks and other digital education content." This is thought to give the possibility to self-publishing and thus to everyone who intends of creating their own iPad or iPhone e-books. Wikipedia will shut down on Wednesday to protest against SOPA

Wikipedia against sopa I think everyone has heard about the Stop Online Piracy Act, or SOPA, and what it involves. Many popular sites from the web have announced that their activity will shut down for one day, on the 18th of January 2012, to protest against this act that wants to censor the internet, some of these sites being Reddit, Wordpress and Mozilla. Having in mind that Wikipedia has almost 420 million unique monthly visitors, Jimmy Wales wants to show the world what would Wikipedia shutting down mean. Tomorrow, on the Wikipedia site, you will find instructions on how to reach the local US members of the American Congress.
